These beautiful bay sash windows and front door in Dalkey needed to be restored and repainted.

The bay sash windows were in average condition but had some rotted sections to the bottom sash rails, to the bottom frame and some rot appeared to the external wooden mouldings while refurbishment was carried out.
We removed rotten sections as little as possible to sound wood and spliced in with new elements of Accoya hardwood to precisely match existing mouldings which has a 50 year guarantee against rot.
Then we draught-proofed the windows with brush pile system, replaced cords, fitted new brass fittings and traditionally painted for a truly authentic look.

The front door had new seals installed, replaced single-glazing with new double-glazed units for a better heat retention and fully painted for a final touch.

The house is much warmer and standing out in the estate.
